Art for Scatter_Muse!

Title: Alone at Last
Gift for: scatter_muse
Artist: tripperfunster
Rating:: R for peen
Fandom:Star Trek reboot/Myst
Warnings: nekkid mens
Artist notes: scatter_muse asked for Kirk and Bones in a Myst like setting. I haven't played Myst since it came out in ... 199-? So I googled Myst-Space and it came up with something akin the the background you see here. I 'stole' the bg, but changed it up some, and it is all hand drawn. Well, painted, I guess.
Summary: I suppose privacy would be a difficult thing to come by on a star ship.

Oh look, there is Saturn and here are a bunch of stalagmites! Let us remove our trousers and joust! Perfectly reasonable!

(no, hee, yay nekkid mens! I hope there is oxygen on this planet/asteroid/moon thing. And an atmosphere in general. *nods*)

I can't say I'm familiar with Myst at all, really, but this has a really awesome sort of oldschool sci-fi illustration feel to it. I love the contrast between the cool colors in the foreground, and the warm planet in the background.

And yes, nudity! There's a certain absurdity to the scenario which I find rather charming. :D Kirk certainly looks pleased with it, which is as should be.

Thank you! I had a lot of fun playing and learning about colour in this one!

This is really gorgeous.

It's my clever way of hiding my lack of talent! ;)

I'll second the old school sci-fi art feel, which is awesome. =D And I love the looks on their faces (and the dimples in their knees... don't ask, I just like the attention to anatomy. Well done!)

Thank you very much!

Ah! Lovely!

The rich red-orange is gorgeous and the space-sky fade is really well done.

NU!Kirk is so flipping difficult to draw, so amazing job! And Bones! Aww! And, aha, gorgeous cocks, too. ;) I love that they're still wearing their boots. Heh.

Hey! We both did Trek!

And dude! I am so in love with the guys you made for me! They are SO FRICKIN' AWESOME! I'm thrilled and honoured that I might inspire you to be so cracktastic! :D

This all feels so fitting for the original series, and it totally reminds me of the art I've seen from the fic 'zines that are out there. Meaning it's a little wacky, but impossible to look away from. :D

Oh man, I have YET to see an acutal 'zine! I'm thrilled that you think my art is reminiscent of them though.

thanks so much for looking!

Oooh, the background is striking - I like the warm colours of the planet, and why am I not surprised that Kirk has chosen an asteroid with lots of phallic rocks? *g* I love their pose (cool work on their legs and knees!) and the way they are gazing into each others eyes so intently.
Jan. 4th, 2010 05:43 pm (UTC)
Dude, those rocks weren't erect until Kirk arrived! HE IS THAT AWESOME! ;)

Thanks for the kind words!

Yay! You incorporated on of Myst's settings into the picture! And Kirk/Bones == HOT!! I love you how painted the Saturn-like planet in the back and the way the gradient changes. And how Kirk and Bones standing in the foreground produce a lovely sort of parallel image with the rest of background plateaus.

I'm so glad you liked it! Watercolour is pretty new to me, so of course, I have to go and try it for an exchange, amirite?

ahhaa! what a great comment! Thank you very much! And yes, our boys always keep their priorities straight. Well, maybe STRAIGHT isn't exactly the right word....

EPIC PEEN BATTLE IS EPIC. SRSLY, I love the pose - how it's both adorable and kind of satirical of the brave/heroic/epic scifi illustrations of yore. I expect this swelling strings-and-french horn soundtrack to be playing behind them one minute, and then raging guitar riffs a-la-Heavy Metal the next. WHICH IS FABULOUS.

The background is gorgeous (orange-and-blue complimentary colours, woot!) the guys totally sweet and soinlove, the peens so lovingly rendered, and the stalag..tites? Totally a great metaphor for multiple erections.

Seriously, everything about this is multi-layered tongue-in-cheek perfection, which is so very much YOU. AWESOME.

The background is so pretty! And you did a lovely job with the lads as well. I especially love their knees! (Also, I am filled with glee over the fact that they're still wearing their boots. So cute!)

Well, the ground looks a bit pokey, so SAFETY FIRST! :D

Thanks for looking!

I really like the shading on this- something about the starkness of the black ink with the colors. Also, nice job with the faces, especially Kirk!

Thank you! I really enjoy inking, and I'm pants at details with watercolours so .... yeah.

thanks for looking!
