AHHHHH OMG! :DDD It's gorgeous! They all look so much like themselves - but definitely translated into a distinct artistic style, which I adore! Uhura looks particularly gorgeous. *_* I love the look she's giving Kirk (who is so cheeky, eeee). And Spock's epiphany made me giggle out loud! (I hope I didn't wake my roommate.)

Gosh, your colors are so pretty, particularly on their skin. And I really like the random ships-interior-inspired background - fills the space nicely and looks right, but not distracting or overly detailed (something I have trouble with). And the classic looking thought bubble and text box! ♥ It looks like a panel out of a seriously awesome comic - there's no surer way to make me happy. ;)

And you drew my OT3! I am beside myself, here. I love it so much, Mystery Artist - thank you!

[ETA:] I forgot to mention the tiny Ben-Day-esque points of color! God, I love that oldschool comicky stuff. *_*

I am SO HAPPY that you like it!! I currently stalk your journal for tips on and examples of how to make awesome comics and how to, like, have cool style. Both of which you do with no apparent effort. So you basically helped make your own giftart better, neato!

Thank you for such lovely feedback, it just made my yuletide to be creeping on these kind words. You picked out a lot of the stuff I had been aiming for (yay)!

In conclusion--you are darling, and you inspired your own present. Merry yuletide! ...and now happy new year! ♥

oh my gosh, FANTASTIC. The classic comicbook style is dead-on and makes the whole concept that much funnier XD
plus... it's a nice concept all around... ;D
Jan. 5th, 2010 04:05 pm (UTC)
I definitely thought loooong and haard about the concept, mmhmm. :P Glad you enjoyed!

The boys are nice, but I really like Uhura here!
Jan. 5th, 2010 04:06 pm (UTC)
I strongly agee that Uhura's inherent awesomeness (ouch, tonquetwister) should always be apparent. Thanks!

This is really beautiful. I especially love the way you drew the girl. :D
Jan. 5th, 2010 04:07 pm (UTC)
Thank you! I definitely had fun drawing such a kickass lady. :D

I like their expressions, and the likeness is great. I also like the hinted, unfocused background. The classic comic book style works very well.
Jan. 5th, 2010 04:08 pm (UTC)
Oh yes, my 'background,' hee. I am so happy to hear that the comic book style worked--thank you!

Thanks! I definitely beat Spock to the punch on this one. Probably. ...maybe. When did I set this again...?
Dec. 19th, 2009 07:54 am (UTC)
OMG! I want to read the whole comic now!
Jan. 5th, 2010 04:10 pm (UTC)
Me too!! Unfortunately those two words in a thought bubble are the extent of my dialogue skills...I am nought but a pencil puhser :P
Dec. 19th, 2009 09:33 am (UTC)
Oh this is made of awesome *giggle* Great job!!
Jan. 5th, 2010 04:10 pm (UTC)
Hee, thank you! :D :D

The likenesses of all three are incredible! It is generally harder to find likeness for a beautiful female, but Uhura looks wonderfully like Zoe Saldana here. Gosh, this is wonderful! And I LOVE the way you colored it... very watercolor-y with a nice textured background.
Jan. 5th, 2010 04:12 pm (UTC)
Wow, thank you so much! I definitely have more practice drawing females, and I'm glad it paid off. Uhura and Zoe deserve all the wonderful they can wrangle, definitely!

I am in love with everyone's expressions, though Kirk's smug faaaaaaaaace is especially fantastic! Also: the comic book panel feel of this is particularly inspired, and I love your coloring choices. That background!
Jan. 5th, 2010 04:15 pm (UTC)
I am so pleased that my background is coming off as 'artistic' rather than 'space-architecturally-challenged'! Their expressions were key, so thank you. I do love me some smug Kirk :P
